I am wanting to enter a show that entries are due in March. This shows requirements are that the painting be 6" x 6" a common size for daily painters. I would like to enter a piece in "my style" but the show is for paintings, therefore, not accepting of marker drawings. This is an image I have done before with markers, but wanted to try out in watercolor to see how it looked. I think it's okay. The photograph isn't as brilliant as the painting itself. I am going to work on another image in watercolor to see how it goes in a landscape. I might try some acrylic too.
The boy was sick yesterday, so I didn't get posted. I'm going to try to be more diligent on posting everyday, but sometimes the best thing I can do is get the art made!
Erika, good to see another of 'us' trying to do things everyday. It isn't always easy, you are not going to make a masterpiece everyday, and if you miss one here and there due to what life throws your way, don't sweat it too much. I have had a rough week, and missed about 4 days, and the odd thing was that I began missing doing a piece every day very deeply. Glad to be 'back on the trail' again.. Keep it up, your stuff looks great!
